Oscar Inspiration

So, maybe it's just the "bride" thing, but every single dress that is white or close to white screams "HEY!! That could be a wedding dress!!" to me. The Oscars were no exception. My favorite: Taraji P. Henson seen below. I mean, I saw this dress and just about died. It is kinda sorta similar in a roundabout way to the dress I'm thisclose to buying. And she looked so great! Her hair was so simple and sleek and perfect. Can you tell I'm obsessed? I'll stop.

Many actresses chose to go with the "bridal" look.

Penelope Cruz decided to go with a more, um, literal look? Let's get serious, she just needs a veil and she's ready to walk down the aisle.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it: Jessica Biel looked like shit. The dress itself is OK I guess (minus that big floppy bow), but she wore heavy, black, closed toe pumps with it. No. Just, no. And she did her hair while driving in a convertible. She must have.

I love Tina Fey. She looked so great, and while this may not be typical "bridal" I'd wear it to my wedding in a heartbeat. She looked fabulous.

Anne Hathaway looked great. She can be hit or miss for me, but this was fab. I liked that she went simple with the jewelry since the dress was so blingy.

So Jen and Anne pretty much wore the same dress. At least it wasn't Jenn and Angie. I'm glad she wore something other than black. I do wish she had worn color, though. Maybe next time, Jen.

I wonder if this obsession with white dresses will end after the wedding. Here's the thing: there will be a whole other awards season before my wedding happens!!

Quick Post

I'm a huge Weddingbee fan. HUGE. In the past week, 2, count 'em, TWO Bees have had to cancel their weddings. I just wanted to put out there that I love my fiance and consider myself so lucky to have him. I often take for granted how amazing he is but after reading what these two wonderful women are going through, I'm going to make more of an effort to show him just how much he means to me. I think sometimes in the craziness of wedding planning we forget what really matters. I'm pledging here and now to not let that happen.

First Post!!

Hello!! It's fitting that today is the birth of my blog because today is also my BIRTHDAY! I'm now 23 and excited for what the next year brings me. I don't know if anyone will ever see/read/know about this blog, but I welcome any and all comments. Writing has always been an outlet for me and something I love to do. With my new-found obsession with wedding planning, I knew I would eventually need an outlet that was not my fiance, mom, bridesmaids, or random unsuspecting strangers. I love wedding blogs so I decided I might as well start one of my own. I can't wait to finally get all of my thoughts, ideas, and inspiration down on "paper."
